What Is Daxxify? Why Is It Being Called the New Botox?
Daxxify (daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) is an upcoming botulinum toxin injectable that, much like Botox and its competitors, relaxes a targeted group of muscles in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Although it works similarly to Botox and is even being called the new Botox, Daxxify is its own thing.
Indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe wrinkles between the eyebrows, also referred to as frown lines, Daxxify has been found to be quite safe, according to various studies, carrying no more risk than any other botulinum toxin products. More uses for this impressive injectable are being studied for FDA clearance as well.
To be considered an ideal candidate, you should be generally healthy with realistic expectations about the outcome and not have allergies to any of the ingredients.
How Long Does Daxxify Really Last?
What makes Daxxify such a standout product is how long it lasts, thanks to the involvement of peptides in its formula, keeping this already popular injectable stable and able to last longer.
Daxxify is by far the longest lasting neuromodulator, with results visible for an average of six months. Excitingly, some Daxxify users have seen their results last up to nine months. Botox pales in comparison,with an average of three to four months.
Another benefit of Daxxify is that it’s said to have a lower chance of your body building up a tolerance and resisting it, thus breaking the product down sooner.
How Much Does This New Botox Cost in Maryland?
At the moment, there is no set cost for Daxxify. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) has yet to be released by the creators of Daxxify, Revance Aesthetics, because the product hasn’t yet been released to the public.
There are some theories on how much Daxxify will cost. Many people are speculating that Daxxify will have a similar price point as Botox, which can range anywhere from $10 to $25 per unit, while others suspect that it may be higher since its longevity is better.
Because Daxxify will only require a visit to an injector once or twice a year for the majority of patients, it is believed Daxxify is going to save users more money than Botox or its alternatives would, which typically require a minimum of three or four visits a year.
How Soon Will Daxxify Be Released?
Daxxify’s exact release date also isn’t known, as it only recently received FDA approval. However, it’s highly likely that Daxxify will officially hit the market in the earlier half of 2023 and be available at most medical spas by the later half of 2023.
