Dr. Barrios is a board-certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She was born and raised in Connecticut and attended Williams College in Massachusetts, where she graduated with highest honors.  She lived in Washington, DC and worked in child development research for several years before deciding to go into medicine.  Dr. Barrios attended medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed her residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  Prior to joining Potomac Pediatrics, she was a pediatrician in private practice in Silver Spring, MD.  Outside of medicine, Dr. Barrios enjoys hiking with her family and dog, running, and exploring the local food scene.  She lives in North Potomac with her husband and two children.
